Making History With David and Joe | Same Sex Wedding Cheltenham

It's a privilege being a wedding photographer. It's more than just taking pictures. Really the essence of what we do stripped back to its simplest form is visual story telling. Love stories documenting emotion, feelings and details. That's why when David and Joe reached out to me I felt a little more excited than normal. Every wedding story is different, but having never captured a same sex marriage before I was more than excited to document this love story. Not only that, this was the first same sex marriage to be held within a Church in Gloucestershire and one I will aways remember.

Joe and David got married at Bethesda Methodist Church in Cheltenham and ended it with quite possibly the best confetti exit of the year! From there we travelled to Pittville Pump Rooms in the heart of Cheltenham, which looked spectacular with all the florals and palms Joe and David chose. The day was beautiful from beginning to end and was certainly one of the highlights of the year. With a brass band, drag queen entertainment and a very well choreographed first dance Joe and David threw one hell of a wedding! I wish I could describe it more but if you know me, you know I am a terrible writer. Hopefully, the images below do David and Joe's story justice!
